Behind (& in) the canvas...
The human being is at the heart of my life and work.
I love to explore the internal processes, the mental and emotional patterns that impact our behavior, driving us to grow or, on the contrary, clipping our wings.
Through my work, I delve into the complexities of human emotions, experiences, and consciousness, reflecting on the beauty and struggles that perfume our lives.
Spirituality and transmutation are also very important themes and a source of inspiration after a succession of singular events that deeply affected me and actually pushed me to start painting again.
Through my work, I seek to create a visual language that celebrates the beauty and multidimensionality of the human being and his experience. One that reflects the ongoing process of transformation that shapes each of us and our existence.
I aim to engage the viewers' mind, senses and emotions, inviting them to connect with their aspirations and take an inward journey to rediscover the richness of their inner world.
All my paintings are designed as a metaphor for the human being and their universes. The multiple layers that compose each painting are meant to represent the many dimensions of our being and experience, as well as the intricate layers of our psyche and the worlds in which we evolve.
Certain paintings offer a different appearance depending on the degree of lighting they receive. Others reveal “hidden” elements that are only visible at certain distances or depending on the part of the painting observed.
I play with these different elements to illustrate the subjective and inherently partial nature of our perceptions of the world, ourselves and others.
This game is also an invitation to consider everything and every human from different perspectives and contexts, to gain a more complete view, one that allows us to discover the hidden gifts or beauty within.
